About the Role: We’re growing through acquisition and expanding operational complexity, which means our people engine needs a sharp, organized, high-ownership Talent & Onboarding Specialist to help drive a seamless candidate and new-hire experience. In this role, you’ll own full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and HR operational workflows that keep our public-company environment compliant, efficient, and people-centered.
Job Responsibility:
Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical, professional, and administrative roles
Partner with hiring managers to shape job requirements and interview plans
Manage sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offers
Keep Paylocity ATS squeaky-clean and audit-ready
Use structured interview techniques to promote consistent and equitable hiring decisions
Own the entire onboarding workflow from offer acceptance to Day 1 to first 90 days
Manage background checks, I-9/E-Verify, badging, equipment, and IT coordination
Ensure all tasks, workflows, and data entry are accurate in Paylocity HRIS
Design and execute onboarding plans that welcome employees across newly acquired entities
Partner cross-functionally to create a smooth, professional new-hire experience
Support multi-state compliance requirements for onboarding and employment eligibility
Maintain documentation aligned with public company and SOX audit expectations
Assist with processes, system cleanups, and alignment during M&A integration
Contribute to HR process improvements to optimize efficiency and scalability
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in recruiting + onboarding functions
Proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems
Paylocity experience strongly preferred
High attention to detail, documentation discipline, and operational accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with candidates and managers
Comfort with structured processes and compliance frameworks
Nice to have:
Prior experience working in a public company or SOX-regulated environment
Exposure to DoD, defense, aerospace, or government contracting industries
Experience supporting HR work during mergers, acquisitions, or entity integrations
Familiarity with clearance processes (Secret, TS, facility-level, etc.)
