Job Description

As our new Talent Manager in the Originals team, you’ll play a key role in securing and managing celebrity talent across the entire business. You'll work across our originals entertainment channel LADbible entertainment, celebrity content across LADbible Stories, and editorial and social content across LADbible brands; LADbible, UNILAD, Betches UK, Tyla, GAMINGbible. You'll also play a key part in events in entertainment to secure access at red carpet premiers, set visits and award ceremonies! You will be responsible for proactively identifying talent opportunities that work for our channels & brands, manage existing & incoming talent opportunities and work across commercial talent opportunities that involve brands and sponsorship within the original space. This is an externally facing role representing the brand across the industry as well as a highly collaborative role across almost every team within the company.

Job Responsibility

  • Build, manage and maintain strong relations with key partners in the music, film, TV, literary industries globally
  • Develop and nurture relationships with publicists, PR agencies, film studios, record labels, agents and management teams
  • Manage incoming celebrity opportunities and proactively outreach for new opportunities
  • Share these opportunities with the relevant internal teams and push forward responses, looping in relevant teams once secured
  • Work cross-functionally with Originals, Studios, Marketing, Social, Editorial and Commercial teams to deliver talent against project briefs and targets
  • Communicate key stats & figures in our reports to external talent teams & internal teams involved in activations
  • Conduct regular research on potential new talent and be proactive in spotting and seizing opportunities to engage new and existing talent
  • Ensure seamless delivery of talent shoots by coordinating internal stakeholders and external representatives
  • Work directly with talent, their management teams and publicists to develop opportunities to connect talent with our audiences
  • Work with Marketing on specific projects to deliver talent for campaigns and activations
  • Oversee contracting, usage rights, deliverables and approvals for paid partnerships where required
  • Support the Talent Lead in delivering talent for commercial briefs and sponsored campaigns
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal talent processes
  • Help define and strengthen how the talent function operates across the business
  • Contribute to long-term talent strategy across Originals

Requirements

  • Experience in talent relations, bookings and/or management
  • Experience working with youth-focussed brands or publishers
  • Strong experience in communicating with PR agencies, film studios, management, agents etc.
  • Experience working with high profile talent – particularly within the junket space
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining industry relationships
  • Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills
  • Be able to manage several different teams at once to ensure everyone is happy internally & externally and that the talent process for shoots is as seamless & smooth as possible
  • Deep understanding of pop culture, current trends and emerging talent
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry, spanning music, film, influencers, comedy, tv and sport
  • Highly organised, dedicated individual who can plan and work to tight deadlines in a fast moving & changing department/industry
  • Experience within the promotional/editorial talent space as well as commercial talent space
  • Comfortable with contracting talent & usage rights/deliverables when needed for paid for activity
