The Talent Management Program Manager is responsible for designing, modernizing, and driving enterprise-wide talent systems that enable colleague growth, capability-building, and organizational health. While titled “Program Manager,” this role functions as Bentley’s enterprise Talent Systems & Capabilities Manager, leading the transformation and continuous improvement of performance management, succession, potential identification and development, goals, skills taxonomy, career development, and talent processes. This role reports to the Director of Talent. This role works closely with other members of the People (HR) team and the business to ensure that Bentley has strong talent practices with the bench strength needed to ensure organizational health, and colleague success, and career growth. Additionally, they ensure that talent management at Bentley is connected, data-informed, and experience-driven talent practices aligned to Bentley’s strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Create, continuously improve, and drive the Bentley talent management ecosystem including but not limited to performance management, High Potential identification and development, Talent Review, succession planning, career development, and 360 feedback.
Lead the creation of Bentley’s skills taxonomy and capability frameworks for key roles, functions, and leadership levels.
Integrate skills data into performance, mobility, talent reviews, succession, and workforce planning.
Partner with Learning & Development to embed coaching, growth, and accountability into the flow of work.
Partner with L&D to translate capabilities into learning and capability academies.
Modernize communications, training, and resources for managers and colleagues.
Evolve the former Exceptional Potential Program into a modern, flowofwork model that uses data, skills, and manager insight to identify and develop potential.
Establish future-ready leadership readiness criteria and ensure integration with Workday tools.
Serve as the talent system lead for processes housed in Workday (performance, goals, succession, calibration).
Partner with Colleague Technology & Analytics to optimize system design, workflows, and user experience.
Use talent data and insights to inform decision-making, including performance trends, mobility patterns, pipeline risks, and capability gaps.
Provide insights to Colleague Success (HR) Business Partners, leaders, and executives to support organizational planning and strategy.
Collaborate closely with other members of Colleague Success including Learning and Development, Business Partners, Technology & Analytics, Total Rewards, and senior leadership to ensure talent management practices are aligned and effective.
Bring forward recommendations for modernization aligned to Bentley’s evolving business needs.
Requirements:
Minimum of seven years of HR experience in a global company in a Talent Management, HRBP or L&D capacity having ownership of performance management, succession planning, career development or high potential programs, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, I/O Psychology, OD, or another related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in Talent Management, Succession Planning, Career Development, and Performance Management program development, ownership, and execution.
Understanding and experience with talent frameworks and processes used for identifying and developing high potentials.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience developing communications, learning content, and delivering training presentations.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality results.
Ability to shift between collaboration and independent work, seek feedback from multiple stakeholders, and make course corrections as needed.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance time accordingly.
Proficiency with Talent Management systems such as SuccessFactors, Workday, etc.
Experience with assessment tools such as StrengthsFinder 2.0, DISC, Myers-Briggs, etc.
Proficient in Office 365 tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
This role does not require travel though travel may be optional, up to 10% of the year.
