Job Description:

Talent Safari helps African startups hire great talent. Demand from our clients is growing rapidly; we need a sharp operator to source great talent, reliably vet them, and keep clients satisfied. We’re looking for someone young, smart, hardworking, ready-to-learn and with some prior experience in the startup space. Since launching in January 2025 we have become the go-to talent partner for innovative businesses across Africa, working with clients such as Paystack, Peach Payments and Turaco.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own searches from kick‑off to close: spec, sourcing, screening, offer, onboarding
  • Work on a range or roles from some of Africa’s most exciting companies
  • Manage 5‑10 client accounts
  • push back, problem‑solve, close roles fast
  • Run targeted outreach via LinkedIn, the Talent Safari community, referrals, and AI tools
  • Input to processes, suggest improvements, help us to grow and optimize

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of total experience, ideally in startup recruitment
  • Evidence you learn fast and execute faster—shipped projects, closed hires, or hustles
  • Clear, concise written & spoken English
  • Appetite for high-intensity work, blunt feedback and autonomy

Nice to have:

  • French proficiency
  • Technical background or experience hiring tech roles (engineering, product, data)
  • Strong network/experience in African startups
  • Experience working in South Africa
What we offer:

Work directly with founders at Africa's leading startups alongside a small, fast-moving team with incredibly high standards
