Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will drive the full recruitment cycle, from posting job openings to onboarding new employees. This position requires close collaboration across departments to identify organizational hiring needs and ensure the selection of top talent.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
  • Maintain and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to enhance efficiency in hiring practices
  • Develop and update job descriptions and specifications to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Create and execute recruitment strategies, including sourcing candidates through associations and job boards
  • Assess candidate qualifications, skills, and experience through resume reviews and interviews
  • Facilitate pre-screening, formal interviews, and extend employment offers to selected candidates
  • Oversee pre-employment checks, such as background and drug screenings
  • Build strong relationships with educational institutions and participate in career fairs to expand talent pipelines
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and manage processes for seasonal and contract staff
  • Perform exit interviews to gather insights and improve retention strategies

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in business, human resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in recruiting, either in-house or through a staffing agency
  • Proficiency in managing Applicant Tracking Systems and Candidate Management Systems
  • Familiarity with various selection techniques, including virtual interviews and reference checks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make independent decisions
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in recruitment activities
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
