With rapid growth, new hospital openings, and a strong focus on people, we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who can operate at both strategic and execution level—someone who doesn’t just fill roles, but shapes workforce strategy, EVP, and long-term talent outcomes. This role is based in Hawthorn East, Victoria!
Job Responsibility:
Drive and imbed workforce strategy & planning aligned to AEA’s national growth
Play a key role in EVP design, implementation, and activation
Lead end-to-end recruitment across the Region, for all clinical roles
Influence how we attract, engage, and retain top veterinary talent
Partner closely with Hospital Administrators, Hospital Directors, Hiring managers and the Regional Operations Manager
Building sustainable pipelines for critical ECC roles
Driving recruitment transformation and continuous improvement
Own end-to-end recruitment across all clinical veterinary professional and practice support roles
Build strong pipelines for hard-to-fill ECC positions
Deliver high-quality hiring outcomes aligned to business needs
Translate business growth into practical workforce plans
Support hospital openings, expansions, and service model changes
Identify risks and proactively solve workforce gaps
Help shape and roll out AEA’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
Partner with Marketing to deliver targeted attraction campaigns
Position AEA as an employer of choice in ECC veterinary care
Align recruitment with career progression frameworks
Support articulation of benefits and total rewards to candidates
Contribute to retention and workforce sustainability strategies
Act as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers and senior leaders
Provide insights on market trends, talent availability, and strategy
Influence hiring decisions through data and structured assessment
Lead and contribute to key initiatives such as EVP design & rollout, Recruitment optimisation, Interview framework standardisation
Use data to drive continuous improvement and scalability
Support global talent attraction strategies
Manage relocation and visa processes
Build sustainable international talent pipelines
Requirements:
10+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition (with strategic exposure)
Experience in complex, hard-to-fill environments
Strong capability in stakeholder engagement and advisory
Proven ability to balance strategy with hands-on delivery
Experience in EVP development and employer branding strategy
Exposure to international recruitment and relocation (advantageous)
Exposure to career pathway frameworks and workforce design
International recruitment, relocation, and visa sponsorship experience
Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or critical workforce environments
