We're looking for a strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to shape future TA plans aligning to the workforce plan across our One Health portfolio. This newly created role is a 12-month FTC, based at our Nottingham Support Office, working at senior level to translate workforce strategy into sustainable talent solutions. This role sits within the Talent Acquisition Team and reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition & Employability. You'll act as the strategic Talent Acquisition partner for the One Health portfolio, covering Healthcare, Opticians and Pharmacy, with no direct reports and no ownership of day-to-day recruitment delivery. Your focus is on turning workforce plans into clear, insight-led talent acquisition strategies that support service transformation and future skills needs. You'll work closely with TA Managers, People Partners, Programme Boards and senior leaders to anticipate demand and move recruitment from reactive to planned and sustainable. This is a strategic, consultative role, not an operational recruitment position.
Job Responsibility:
Leading short-, medium- and long-term workforce and talent acquisition strategies across One Health
Acting as the senior TA advisor in workforce planning and Programme Board discussions
Translating complex workforce demand into prioritised, practical talent strategies
Partnering with the wider TA leadership team to support you in representing their labour market insights, attraction approaches and strategies within the programme boards
Identifying workforce risks and producing forward-looking insight for senior stakeholders
Requirements:
Experience in strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning OR
a Healthcare qualification and now seeking an opportunity to develop further in a People Function
Proven ability to operate as a trusted, consultative partner to senior stakeholders
Experience working in complex, regulated or large-scale workforce environments
Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans without owning delivery
Confidence influencing, challenging constructively and working without direct authority
Experience operating in change or transformation contexts
Nice to have:
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, optometry or similar regulated professions
Strong analytical skills ideally including demand forecasting and scenario planning
Exposure to large-scale service or transformation
Experience exploring alternative workforce models or long-term talent pipelines
