We are now hiring in North York!! Are you eager and excited to start a new job as a Embroidery Machine Operator? Randstad Canada is currently hiring for one of our esteemed clients specializing in sports apparel customization & retail experience technology connecting consumers with authentic products & engaging customization experiences. We are currently hiring for Machine Operators for a 3 month contract with possibility for extension and even full time for the right candidate. If you are a student on academic drop or scheduled break and willing to do general labor work, we can hire you!

Job Responsibility:

  • You will set up Tajima embroidery machines, including the loading of garments/letters/numbers using DST Files
  • You will be selecting the thread, fabric, hoops, and designs appropriate for each project
  • You have the ability to carefully perform small troubleshooting exercises when needed
  • You will perform regular machine inspections and report any issues
  • You must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • QC is key: You will detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to a supervisor

Requirements:

  • Experience operating Tajima or similar multi-head embroidery machines. Minimum 2 years of experience
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to follow instructions and work orders
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willing to stand for long periods and lift up to 6 lbs
  • At least 2 to 5 years of previous embroidery machine operation experience
  • At least 2 years of “Hooping” of garments for embroidery
  • Must be able to fluently speak and understand English
  • Time Management Completing orders within the stipulated time frame to ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Attention to Detail Ability to closely follow design specifications and produce high-quality embroidery
  • You’re a dedicated candidate that takes pride in every project that leaves our production facility
  • Eligible candidates must also have a clear criminal record check

Nice to have:

  • Experience with hooping is a plus, but not required
  • Sports background / knowledge preferred
