The Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group provides independent oversight of BlackRock’s fiduciary and enterprise risks. RQA’s mission is to provide unbiased oversight of portfolio and enterprise risks and to deliver impactful risk expertise seeking to drive better business outcomes. Risk managers play a meaningful role in BlackRock’s investment process, using quantitative analysis and a multi-disciplinary skillset to tackle real-world problems and provide tangible solutions in the investment management process. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to serve as the primary representative of BlackRock’s Risk & Quantitative Analysis function in Taiwan. This role serves as the independent risk partner to business leads in BlackRock Taiwan, acting as BlackRock’s second line of defence and ensuring a robust and regulatory‑aligned risk management framework. The successful candidate will also contribute meaningfully to the risk management processes across the broader Asia Pacific region.
Job Responsibility:
Drive the implementation and enhancement of Taiwan’s risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and BlackRock’s global standards
Oversee enterprise risk management for BlackRock Taiwan, covering operational, technology, and third‑party risk, while contributing to regional and global enterprise risk programs
Partner with regional fiduciary risk teams to deliver rigorous investment risk management for Taiwan investment strategies and maintain robust oversight of counterparty and trading activities
Provide clear, analytically grounded risk insights and offer timely, constructive challenge across investment and enterprise‑risk topics to senior Taiwan stakeholders
Collaborate with regional and global RQA teams effectively, ensuring high‑quality delivery of Taiwan’s risk program while serving as a strong regional contributor to APAC‑wide risk initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in risk or investment management
Solid understanding of financial markets, with familiarity in ETFs, equities, fixed income, and multi‑asset portfolios
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese are essential
Strong English communication skills are preferred
Proactive and self‑driven
Collaborative with sound judgment
