We are seeking an experienced and proactive German-Speaking Tactical Buyer to join a newly expanding Global Indirect Procurement team within an international Center of Excellence. This is a "shaper" role where you will bridge the gap between operational and strategic procurement. You will have a direct impact on defining processes, executing sourcing activities, and managing supplier relationships across international projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in building a function from the ground up.
Job Responsibility:
Sourcing & Negotiation: Execute tactical sourcing activities for indirect categories globally. Lead/Contribute to supplier selection and negotiations within defined thresholds and policies
Strategy Implementation: Support Category Managers in executing global category strategies and supplier initiatives
Operational Excellence: Manage contract execution, ensure procurement compliance with corporate ethical standards, and maintain catalogues in the procurement system (SAP Ariba/Coupa)
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert procurement support
System Support: Act as a subject matter expert for procurement tools and the P2P cycle, ensuring data integrity and efficient process flow
Requirements:
Professional Experience: Ideally 3–5 years of experience in tactical, strategic or operational procurement, preferably in an indirect spend environment at a multinational company
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and German (mid-to-advanced level) is essential for daily communication and negotiations
Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with SAP and MS Excel. Familiarity with P2P systems (Ariba, Coupa, or SRM) is a significant advantage
Competencies: Proactive "networking" personality with strong commercial acumen. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to influence stakeholders across different functions
