Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Tableau Engineer / BI Analyst for a project-based assignment to own and manage our Tableau environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and optimizing our Tableau dashboards and data visualizations, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, actionable insights. This role requires strong experience in Tableau development, dashboard design, and data modeling, with a focus on usability and performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and manage the Tableau ecosystem, including Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
  • Organize, maintain, and optimize existing dashboards and reporting structures
  • Design and build intuitive, high-quality dashboards and data visualizations aligned with business needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across dashboards and data sources
  • Perform data modeling and light ETL work to support reporting needs
  • Monitor Tableau Server performance, manage permissions, and maintain governance best practices
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing dashboards

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Tableau (Desktop and Server)
  • Proven experience building dashboards and data visualizations for business stakeholders
  • Experience organizing and managing Tableau environments at scale
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data integration concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable dashboards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with ETL tools or scripting for data preparation
  • Experience with survey tools such as Qualtrics or similar platforms
  • Background in healthcare, finance, or large-scale enterprise environments
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other Tableau users
