Job Description

Responsible for the overall effective and efficient supervision of all Table Games shift operations as assigned by the reporting senior including, but not limited to: providing leadership to assigned staff, ensuring effective internal and external communications, exercising appropriate judgment and decision-making skills, and ensuring that all departmental and staff activities are monitored and performed as efficiently and effectively as possible. Ensures assigned staff operate in compliance with applicable internal policies and procedures, gaming regulations, and external agency requirements.

  • Provides excellent internal and external guest services
  • Cooperates and communicates with all fellow employees
  • Provides directions, assistance, and/or information as may be required to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Ensures maximum guest satisfaction by exhibiting efficiency in dealing the assigned game, displaying a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Oversees a variety of card games and ensures consistency and accuracy
  • Maintains the security and integrity of assigned games at all times
  • Participates in special casino promotions and creates excitement for those playing
  • Ensures appearance of table and gaming supplies are maintained in a clean and functional manner
  • Resolves guest disputes
  • Verifies, or causes to be verified, all opens, closes, fills and credits to tables
  • Provides, or causes to be provided, the delivery of card setups and of chips for players and dealers as requested
  • Makes decisions of all game irregularities
  • Deals a variety of card games accurately when need arises
  • Communicates and enforces rules during a game
  • Constantly looks for service opportunities
  • Monitors all relevant activities to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • May assist assigned staff with accurate preparation of reports
  • Ensures newly assigned staff members are scheduled for and complete departmental orientation
  • Responsible for the selection and performance evaluation of all assigned staff
  • Provides job specific training to all newly hired employees
  • Ensures assigned staff is relieved from duty in order to take authorized rest or meal periods
  • Covers for staff as necessary
  • Visits work spaces, break areas and other work shifts
  • Ensures applicable staff is aware of standards
  • Ensures all employees receive fair and equitable treatment
  • Trains new employees on job-specific tasks
  • Schedules employees to ensure excellent guest services
  • Forms opinions and makes decisions based on information
  • Investigates, evaluates information, and makes final decisions
  • Makes efforts to keep informed of company information
  • Conducts at least bi-weekly One-on-One meetings
  • Explains why, shares information, and communicates purpose of decisions
  • Ensures company information is effectively communicated
  • Maintains the Departmental Shift Log
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or Gaming plus 6 months of department-specific experience
  • or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or Gaming, plus 1 year or more of department-specific work experience
  • or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of department-specific experience
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Craps experience preferred
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain an Osage Nation Gaming license
  • Required to maintain a valid Driver's License
  • Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States
  • Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos
  • Applicants must be able to perform all essential functions of job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Pays and takes winning and losing wagers according to company policy
  • Verifies and signs fills, credits, and associated documents
  • Passes on all pertinent information to relieving dealers and supervisors
  • Issues chips to customers for either cash buy-ins or credit in accordance with company policy
  • Maintains control of shoe, cards, dice and float
