Job Description:

This role as a Systems Testing/QA Specialist involves leading and executing both functional and automation testing across critical healthcare IT systems. Responsibilities include testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions, conducting accessibility testing to meet compliance standards, and validating integrations through web service queries using tools like SOAP-UI and POSTMAN. With a focus on quality assurance, the role ensures robust performance, security, and user satisfaction. This position also supports the testing of enhancements, bug fixes, and system upgrades, requiring a detail-oriented mindset and strong collaboration with developers and business users.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform functional, non-functional, and automation testing for COTS solutions and in-house applications
  • Conduct accessibility testing of websites and applications to meet WCAG 2.0 and AODA requirements
  • Execute integration testing using tools like SOAP-UI and POSTMAN
  • Develop automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium
  • Create and maintain system testing documentation, including test plans, scripts, and results
  • Identify and document issues, maintain defect logs, and support defect triage sessions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure testing accuracy
  • Conduct walkthroughs, support user acceptance testing, and validate production deployments
  • Analyze test results and suggest changes for optimization and compliance

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in QA and system testing
  • Hands-on experience in automation scripting and performance testing
  • Skilled in tools such as Selenium, POSTMAN, SOAP-UI, JIRA, and SQL
  • Experience with security testing components like SAML and JWT
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Experience with testing web services, APIs, data migration, and BI solutions
  • Proven ability to conduct accessibility compliance testing
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
