Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts that monitor installed systems and infrastructure
Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Systems Operations functional area
Identify and recommend opportunities within Systems Operations to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on technical tasks
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop policies and procedures, and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area
Collaborate and consult with analysts, Information Technology personnel, or vendors
Manage mid to highly experienced analysts
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring
Requirements:
5+ years of Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Leadership experience
Nice to have:
Demonstrated experience driving toil reduction and operational efficiency through automation, workflow simplification, and process optimization initiatives
Proven leadership or hands-on experience implementing automation solutions using scripting languages, orchestration tools, or low-code/no-code platforms within Systems or IT Operations environments
Exposure to Generative AI–enabled operations, including the use of copilots, AI-assisted monitoring, chatbots, or analytics tools to enhance incident management, system monitoring, or knowledge management
Strong ability to identify and prioritize opportunities where AI and automation can improve incident response, root cause analysis, predictive monitoring, and operational decision-making
Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise, or 24x7 production environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and adherence to SLAs
Working knowledge of IT operations frameworks such as ITIL, including incident, problem, change, and service management best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset focused on operational excellence, risk mitigation, and service quality
Ability to translate operational metrics, risks, and insights into clear, actionable communication for senior leadership and stakeholders
