Systems Operations Engineer for Risk Applications

• Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives
• Identify opportunity for process improvements
• Review and analyze technical queries
• Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries
• Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements
• Work as internal consultant regarding tools and processes
• Incident Management - identifying, triaging, documenting and remediating incidents
• Problem Management - identify, document, coordinate remediation of recurring incidents
• Oversee nightly batch completion
• Fix production issues to meet SLAs
• Follow escalation procedures
• Perform application health checks
• Document known production incidents
• Release coordination with stakeholders
• Provide UAT or lower environment support
• Participate in BCP/DR activities

• Experience in Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Bachelor/Master Degree with 5-7 years of experience in Application Production Support
• Good knowledge of UNIX commands
• SQL Server Queries proficiency
• Job scheduler experience (preferably Autosys)
• Good understanding of ITIL concepts (Incident, Problem and change management)
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to stakeholders
• Batch Monitoring and email queue support
• Monitoring tools like ITRS Geneos
• Scripting knowledge - Shell/Perl/PowerShell
• ETL experience desired
