Newly created opportunity. Permanent onsite Monday to Friday position at Warwick Big W Distribution Centre. Primary Connect is the most extensive food and retail supply chain network in Australia and New Zealand, part of the Woolworths Group.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage, maintain, and optimise all site systems (including WMS and SAP), leading projects to implement DC site system upgrades (WMS, SAP etc) and 3PL transport system integration, ensuring system alignment and information flow between IT, DC operations, and 3PL partner operations
  • Lead the site's inventory strategy, including the stock loss plan, and resolve Balance on Hand (BOH) and data discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain a robust governance framework, ensuring robust site processes and system standards align with national compliance and best practice frameworks
  • Act as the key contact for all system outages and issues, performing root cause analysis for quick resolution
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a small Systems and Inventory team to ensure effective operational support and capability
  • Utilise data and insights reporting to continuously improve warehouse productivity and efficiency, including slotting optimisation

Requirements

  • Experience in operations, inventory and systems management, preferably within FMCG, retail or distribution environments
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team and implement change
  • Strong and Proven Systems experience and computer competency
  • Engaging & supportive people leadership style that involves collaboration, commitment to safety, with a wide circle of people across the organisation, where you are required to drive and influence change

  • Oversee inventory accounting for raw materials, work in process, finished goods, retail stock, and goods in transit, including proper treatment of landed costs across international operations.
