The Systems Integration Specialist role at NTT DATA involves providing critical support for automotive production applications, requiring expertise in COBOL and JCL. Job Responsibility:
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for critical and non-critical automotive production applications
Maintain, control, and support applications on production lines
Perform technical support and maintenance activities
Work with client's processes (incident, problem, change management)
Communicate and work closely with users and the client
Participate in daily team meetings and occasional client meetings
Perform problem analysis and documentation
Perform root cause analysis
Perform source code analysis
Create bug fixes, releases, and upgrades for applications
Occasionally configure and optimize the application and infrastructure
Monitor and respond to open tickets submitted through an incident management system
Troubleshoot and escalate unresolved alerts
Prioritize and handle service requests and incidents
Progress issues and provide relevant information for troubleshooting
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental initiatives
Improve and document technical processes around application support (using Confluence)
Work collaboratively with Account Managers on change requests, managing issues, and establishing priorities
Handle late night and weekend emergency support as required
Resolve system problems during non-business hours or backlogs by providing off-hours support
Ensure the performance of daily health checks of the applications, scripts, and infrastructure by support team
Develop scripts and work with team to automate repeatable manual tasks
Lead the team and clarify their technical queries on Mainframe technologies
Report and present to client
Act as Single Point of Contact for the team
Requirements:
Must possess hands-on experience working in an applications production support/application development environment
Possess detailed knowledge of multiple systems and an in-depth understanding of their functionality to troubleshoot and resolve applications tickets
Expertise in COBOL and JCL
Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ
Experience with DB2
Good communication skills
Ability to work in shifts and provide on-call support
Ability to lead a team and clarify technical queries on Mainframe technologies
Nice to have:
German language skills (ability to read, write, and speak)
