This role involves working with a Systems Integration Lab (SIL) performing a number of activities pertaining to the testing and validation of C5ISR systems for Army ground vehicles. This is a very 'hands-on' type role that involves spending the majority of time within a lab environment.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, engineer, implement, and verify new designs and configuration of system integration Benches, test racks, cables and harnesses, etc. to enhance usability and maintainability
Ensure that the system integration benches are fully functional and accurately reflect the most current configurations
Troubleshoot any errors or faults that are preventing the system integration benches from functioning properly and develop solutions to resolve the faults
Interface with other Army and DoD program offices to understand how the various C5ISR systems interoperate
Provide assistance to system testers so that they may execute their testing effectively and efficiently
Provide electrical, mechanical and software support to Combat Vehicle system bench planning, design, development, and execution
Work in a team environment with our Army customer and DCS Engineers
Work with other DCS employees to identify and purchase and/or build any materials or components required for the lab
Maintain configuration management of the lab, including by updating drawings as required
Perform mechanical assembly as required
Coordinate with government personnel to plan, coordinate and execute system bench activities
Maintain current system bench configurations and assets
Develop a deep, working familiarity with a variety of C5ISR and combat vehicle subsystems
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required
At least 8 years of experience (since earning BS degree) in a technical/engineering role
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN bus, Ethernet, Serial, RS-10, RS-232, etc.)
An interest in the technical workings and interfaces within a complex system

Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other team members
Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (<5% Travel)
Nice to have:
Experience with embedded, or on-board, vehicle computer systems such as Multi-Function Displays, Power Distribution and Management, Drivers Vision or SA Enhancement
Familiar with Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes
Familiar with DoD C4ISR Systems such as: BFT, SINCGARS, WIN-T and/or familiar with Network Operations or Tactical Intranet
Significant experience working in a lab environment including setting up and executing testing
Experience with and knowledge of automated testing
Prior experience as a 25B, 25H, 25F, 25N, 25U, 255N or similar MOS
Familiar with military communications equipment for Ground Combat Vehicles
Experience with US Army Ground Combat Vehicle System Electronics Hardware and Software
