Job Responsibility

  • Support the assembly and verification of Stryker and Abrams prototype builds
  • Keep the team lead informed on build and verification status
  • Monitor Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) maturity and release plan execution
  • Utilize and update the prototype build BOM to reflect accurate part and assembly tracking
  • Write Material Requests (MRs) for required parts and components
  • Track material receipts and resolve late delivery issues
  • Manage the status of fabrication and assembly build plans
  • Disposition obsolete or replaced parts as directed by USG
  • Serve as the primary interface between subsystem engineers and the prototype shop
  • Generate Engineering Problem Reports (EPRs) to document fabrication, installation, or functionality issues
  • Foster a cohesive and collaborative build environment among engineers and mechanics
  • Work overtime and occasional second shifts as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME required)
  • Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude — capable of physically building, fixing, and understanding assemblies
  • Prior prototype build, assembly, or testing experience preferred
  • Experience with NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD tools
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter or Vismockup preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
