We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server DBA to support ongoing SQL Server database operations, including cloud migrations, high availability configurations, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating on-prem SQL Server databases to Azure, setting up AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and ensuring system reliability and performance in a hybrid cloud environment.
Job Responsibility
Support SQL Server migrations from on-premises to Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
Implement and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Distributed Availability Groups
Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL Server instances and queries
Support backup and recovery operations, including automated recovery testing
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity across environments
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps clearly and concisely
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of IT experience
5+ years as a SQL Server DBA
Strong knowledge and experience with SQL Server 2019 and later
Proven experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn, Distributed AGs, and WSFC
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL (IaaS/PaaS) deployments and migrations
Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies
Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning
Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting, and SQL Server automation tasks
Nice to have
Familiarity with monitoring tools: IDERA, Redgate, Splunk, AppDynamics
Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure DBA Associate, MCSA)
