Systems Engineer

Developing and assisting in the requirements process that directly supports the design and development of GWS capabilities on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and at least 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree
• Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
• Must have a solid understanding of system engineering processes and principles, along with proven experience in applying them to develop product solutions
• Must have experience with Software development and the verification of requirements
• Experience on a large-scale missile defense system like GMD
• Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
• Should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented.
• Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.

• Must be familiar with DOORS, Cameo, and MBSE
• Experience with the MDA GMD program
• Battle Management or Fire Control experience
• MBSE or INCOSE Certifications
• Experience developing SE artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and similar
