Job Description:

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain our core IT systems and infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in the planning, deployment, administration, and optimization of servers, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and enterprise systems. This individual will work closely with cross-functional IT teams to ensure our systems are secure, stable, and scalable.

Job Responsibility:

Design, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments
Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management systems
Support system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Collaborate with security teams to implement system hardening, patch management, and compliance controls
Maintain documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures
Provide Tier 3 escalation support for helpdesk and infrastructure issues
Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems support (if applicable)

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or similar roles
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
Proficiency in cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and storage technologies (SAN, NAS)
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Nice to have:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+, or RHCE
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
Exposure to container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices
Experience working in ITIL or enterprise support environments
