We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Bedford Park, Illinois. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and facilities by monitoring systems, enforcing security protocols, and responding to emergencies effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage security operations with attention to detail and discretion.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor facility access points, ensuring compliance with security protocols and identifying unauthorized activity
operate surveillance systems, alarm panels, and monitoring tools to maintain situational awareness
respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, while documenting all activities
conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports on suspicious activities, property damage, or irregularities
assist with enforcing company safety policies, including restricted areas and emergency procedures
perform regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, grounds, and parking areas, to ensure safety standards are upheld
provide thorough assistance and directions to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining confidentiality
maintain accurate administrative records, such as visitor logs and incident reports, and participate in ongoing training initiatives
support emergency responses, including evacuations, medical incidents, and fire alarms, ensuring swift and effective action
ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory security standards, including site access protocols
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
additional certifications in security or related fields are preferred
previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military settings is highly desirable
must possess a valid driver’s license and, ideally, a state security certification
proficiency in using security systems, including CCTV and access control software
strong communication and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to remain calm under pressure
physical capability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and respond swiftly in emergencies
ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
