Job Description

HPE Aruba Networking is a leading provider of next generation networking solutions for enterprises of all sizes worldwide. The Systems Engineer role is focused on IP networking and is responsible for creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers and partners. The position involves providing technical expertise, training, and mentorship, as well as developing and supporting partnerships with HPE Aruba’s channel partners.

Job Responsibility

  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
  • may supervise the activities of others
  • possess expert competitive knowledge including solutions, technology, and product offerings of HPE Aruba
  • perform an expert level of technical presentations for customers, partners, and potential prospects
  • provide training as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist with Channels and Partners on-boarding and mentor channel and partners SE’s in Singapore
  • provide awareness, pre-sales, and installation preparedness enablement training to HPE’s channel partners within Singapore
  • training will be a mix of some sales but mostly technical, and delivered through webinars, on-site classes at the channel partner’s facilities, roadshows, distributor events, and at channel events
  • work with Aruba’s channel partners to understand their business models, technical lead and technical staff knowledge and experience levels, revenue, partner level, and provide enablement training to help increase their win rate, increase revenue, and increased technical certifications, helping them attain the next higher partner level to increase margins
  • own and operate a “personal lab” to maintain skills, learn new features, products, OS updates
  • come up to speed quickly on new products and solutions, SW releases
  • maintain excellent communications with channel partner executive management
  • represent the company as a technical expert
  • advance opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques
  • build partner loyalty through being a trusted advisor

Requirements

  • Technical University or bachelor’s degree
  • minimum 5 years’ experience in wired and wireless networking, security
  • minimum 5 years of infrastructure engineering and 4+ years’ experience with successful pre-sales support
  • general networking knowledge, including routing, switching, switching topologies – core, distribution, and edge, stacking, trunking, QoS, VLANs, VPN technology, RF, antenna technologies, WLANs – both controller-based & controllerless topologies, firewalls, authentication and encryption, and other related technologies
  • Professional/Expert/Master ASE, ACMX, ACCX, and/or ACDX expert level certifications are preferred for this position
