Job Description:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting technological infrastructure that enables the success of OPC, GTC, and GSOC. This includes designing, deploying, and managing Windows and Linux desktop and server environments as well as architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions through AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft 365. The role ensures system scalability, reliability, and security. The Systems Engineer manages and optimizes both physical and virtual servers as well as core cloud services and workstation infrastructure, monitors system performance, and troubleshoots issues. They implement automation and configuration management and plan and perform system upgrades. In terms of security and compliance, the Systems Engineer ensures that systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations. They manage system security configurations, participate in regular security audits, and promptly address findings from security assessments. The role involves close collaboration across various technical and business teams, providing technical support and expertise. The Systems Engineer documents system configurations, department processes, and prepares reports and metrics on system performance.
