The individual selected for this position will serve as a member of the Engineering Team of a Program Management Office (PMO) and will work with the PMO leadership, other offices, and the Sponsor's mission partners to ensure goals and requirements are gathered, clearly articulated, documented, and tracked to closure. The individual will also be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders in supporting a highly visible and fast-paced global network project that leverages engineering management principles.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and facilitate Resource Authority (RA) Forums, Technical Authority (TA) Forums, Network Requirements Team (NRT) meetings, Engineer Working Group (EWG) meetings, Joint Engineering Team (JET) meetings, Technical Expert Meetings (TEMs), and other ad hoc meetings/summits/conferences as appropriate
Participate in enterprise-level network efforts and help define solutions for presentations to IC customers' engineering teams for review and discussion
Support software-defined network architecture and scaling to accommodate global network
Demonstrate experience and knowledge of eBGP, OSPF, communities, and route policy language (RPL) on service provider on-prem infrastructure
Support modeling and simulation of inter-agency network architectures to help capacity planning and future bandwidth requirements
Support traffic engineering capabilities and resiliency of network that supports external sponsor entities' connectivity to cloud resources
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with experience facilitating discussions on technical issues and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
Be proactive and a self-starter
Requirements:
Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline
BS with 15 years of experience
Analytical and conceptual skills
ability to create original concepts/theories for various projects
Technology design - adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs
Ability to logically and systematically convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Ability to analyze and study complex system requirements, for example: Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Apply the concept of operations set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design, and construction of information systems across a major sector of the organization
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Experience with activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control, risk analysis, modern business methods, and performance measurement techniques
Nice to have:
Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in a field related to the position
3 years' experience in the Intelligence Community
