KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced and highly motivated Systems Engineer at the Senior level to join our team. This position will be onsite at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. Next Gen Jammer Platform Stores Integration Systems Engineer to support the Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Programs Office (PMA-234) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-234 is responsible for acquiring, delivering, and sustaining Airborne Electronic Attack systems and providing combatant commanders with Electronic Warfare capabilities that critically enable operational mission success.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (DAPMSE) as a technical integrator for electronic warfare (EW) pods/stores
Be responsible for conceiving, planning, organizing, and leading development and store integration activities specific to the NGJ pods
Coordinate all the system integration engineering efforts associated with NGJ-MB/LB with PMA-265 Weapon Systems Integration (WSI) IPT and Growler System Integration (GSI) IPT teams
Conduct engineering analyses, test and evaluation of weapon systems, related subsystems and components
Review program documentation for impact and opportunities related to store development, production and deployment
Participate in engineering requirements process and program team design reviews
Assist with identifying & developing systems engineering and platform integration requirements, and ensuring these requirements are addressed in the Store Integration Plan (SIP)
Support the Interface Control Working Group (ICWG), developing and updating system interface control documents (ICDs)
Manage, tailor & execute the Airworthiness processes
Manage & coordinate with NAVAIR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Technical Program Office (TPO) and Prime Contractor representatives
Review flight clearances for technical accuracy and safety of flight
Ensure that individual efforts are extended across other teams by focusing individual program and product team efforts in achieving coherent, integrated solutions
Provide technical support for the development & platform integration Statement of Work (SOW)
Provide technical leadership in responding to test and integration deficiencies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
Ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position
Three (3) years of experience directly related to DoD systems
Must have weapons and store integration experience
Experience that demonstrates technical depth to understand and interpret related technical concepts, approaches, and capabilities
Experience that demonstrates an understanding of program schedules and planning timelines
Experience that demonstrates knowledge of how various systems trades will influence the end user experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation
This position requires the candidate be Top Secret/SCI eligible
