Job Description

As a Systems Engineer in Palantir’s Technical Operations (IT) group, you’ll be joining a team that is the focal point for every major business workflow and decision at Palantir. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure powering Collaboration across the business. You’ll partner with our internal and external stakeholders to adapt industry tools to Palantir’s evolving needs, as well as expanding our use of Palantir Foundry and AIP for internal workloads. As a member of the Collaboration Tools team, you’ll provide technical expertise and vision to key stakeholders. On any given day, you could be finding ways to programmatically manage complex systems with code, working with other internal teams to ensure services are highly available, or working with Information Security to harden critical systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Configure and manage both commercial and GCC High M365 and Azure environments
  • Act as Microsoft 365 SME and point of escalation for tech support and operations teams within the broader IT organization
  • Drive the implementation of Microsoft products and workflows, developing creative technical solutions that enhance and streamline business operations
  • Partner with Palantir’s Compliance teams to maintain compliance with key regulatory frameworks, and with the Information Security team to maintain security posture while improving user efficiency
  • Research, develop, and deploy new techniques to manage our systems programmatically and eliminate manual work
  • Incorporate the latest industry trends and standards into Palantir’s continually evolving M365 environment

Requirements

  • Experience automating solutions using PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API
  • Experience configuring, administering, and owning Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Fluency in at least one programming language, and a commitment to automating solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Proactive collaboration with the larger IT organization to identify potential large scale problems
  • Motivation and ability to work as part of a distributed team
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Actively maintain knowledge of the latest technology, and industry trends
  • An active Secret Clearance or ability and willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
