As a Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the GMD Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs for the Missile Defense Agency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the GMD Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs for the Missile Defense Agency
  • Be a Systems Engineer responsible for lab integration representing GMD products
  • Assist in lab build-up and execution of GMD Lab integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, of all GMD elements
  • Support lab integration team flow down requirements, critical testing, and development in different lab environments
  • Experience collaborating with teams of engineers, system administrators, network engineers, product subject matter experts, and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of development and integration
  • Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments, from desktops to servers
  • Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
  • Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
  • Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
  • Maintaining networks and network file systems
  • Coordinating security relevant changes of both hardware and software components, and network with the ISSO for compliance
  • Working effectively, and semi-autonomously, in a rapid pace team environment
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) servers/workstations
  • Managing local servers and virtual machines (Azure, VMWare)
  • Implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide(s) (STIGS)

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain United States Security Clearance (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start is required)
  • US Citizenship as a condition of employment
  • CompTIA Security+ (or higher-level certification to meet DoD 8570 requirements)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experienced career computing knowledge level of the following: Networking (Cisco), Linux, Windows
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master)
