Job Responsibility:

  • Shares responsibility for management and administration of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure services
  • Responsible for orchestrating and performing automated tasks
  • Designs and performs setup and maintenance of a continuous infrastructure integration stack
  • Prepares use case requirements, designs solutions and deploys on-premise or cloud based infrastructure
  • Independently completes proactive performance monitoring, analysis, alerting, reporting, and tuning
  • Independently completes capacity analyses and provision solutions
  • Completes maintenance activities, including deploying patches
  • Independently completes incident and problem analysis reports
  • Performs and advises others on implementation and maintenance activities
  • Serves in 24-hour on-call rotations
  • Maintains an interoperability matrix
  • Creates and reviews technical documentation
  • Evaluates new products and services
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of technology, equipment, and/or systems

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Expertise with virtualization technology and cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of server hardware and storage array networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to present technology in non-technical terms
  • Ability to provide on-call support
  • Ability to perform after-hours and weekend maintenance
  • Ability to travel to and from Data Center facilities
  • Strong scripting skills (preferred)
  • Expertise with server operating systems and orchestration and automation tools (preferred)
