Job Description:

As Etched scales from R&D into global manufacturing and deployment, the complexity of our financial and operational systems is increasing rapidly. We are hiring a hands-on engineer to own and evolve the technical backbone of our financial systems. Starting with ERP and expanding into data infrastructure that connects finance with manufacturing, logistics, and operations, this is a critical role that will enable Etched to scale. You will be the primary technical owner of our ERP and financial data flows, responsible for architecture, implementation, and long-term scalability. In the short term, this role is heavily ERP-focused; over time, it expands into broader data engineering and infrastructure ownership. This is not a consulting or governance role. You will own these systems end to end - designing them, building them, and ensuring scalability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own Core Financial Systems: Serve as the primary technical owner of Etched’s ERP and adjacent financial systems
  • Drive architecture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Act as the main PM and hands-on developer for NetSuite initiatives
  • Build Financial Data Infrastructure: Design and stand up a financial data lake or warehouse
  • Create clean, well-structured datasets for financial analysis and forecasting
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and correctness across systems
  • Integrate Finance with Hardware Operations: Build integrations across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and reverse logistics
  • Model real-world physical processes accurately in software
  • Ensure financial data reflects operational reality
  • Execute End-to-End: Architect lightweight, scalable systems and build them yourself
  • Eliminate manual workflows through automation
  • Partner with consultants on specialized projects while remaining the internal owner

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience with a strong record of ownership and execution
  • Ability to build custom integrations and connect systems where APIs are not well defined
  • Background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science
  • Experience working with hardware, manufacturing, logistics, or other physical systems
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, with familiarity in Python
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • familiarity with JavaScript and JSON
  • Experience building or owning production systems end to end
  • Comfort acting as both system architect and hands-on developer
  • Ability to work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Infrastructure teams
  • High autonomy, strong business judgment, and the ability to operate beyond task execution
What we offer:
  • Medical, dental, and vision packages with generous premium coverage
  • $500 per month credit for waiving medical benefits
  • Housing subsidy of $2k per month for those living within walking distance of the office
  • Relocation support for those moving to San Jose (Santana Row)
  • Various wellness benefits covering fitness, mental health, and more
  • Daily lunch + dinner in our office

  • Experience translating ambiguous business rules into deterministic, scalable system workflows
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for automation, integration logic, and data validation
Job Responsibility
Job Responsibility
  • Design and own the partner systems orchestration layer: Architect how partner-related systems work together across onboarding, enablement, deal collaboration, and incentives. You will define clear system boundaries, sources of truth, and integration patterns that keep partner data accurate and trustworthy
  • Translate partner program requirements into system logic: Convert complex partner rules and policies into deterministic, auditable workflows that govern partner eligibility, progression, and payout readiness. Ensure these rules scale without relying on manual review. You will think holistically about the partner lifecycle — from acquisition to onboarding, activation, and reporting — designing automation that reduces manual work while preserving financial and compliance safeguards
  • Design automation with clear guardrails: Build workflows that balance rule-based logic, AI-assisted decisioning, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints. You will be responsible for deciding where automation is appropriate and where correctness requires human oversight
  • Apply AI selectively and responsibly: Use AI to support triage, exception handling, and insight generation in partner operations. Establish evaluation and monitoring approaches to ensure automated outcomes remain explainable, accurate, and safe, especially in financially sensitive workflows
  • Own cross-system integration and reliability: Design and maintain integrations across PRM, partner management, enablement, and finance systems. Anticipate partial failures, asynchronous events, and data discrepancies, and design for reconciliation, recovery, and observability. You will work across lifecycle tooling including CRM data flows, partner enablement platforms, reporting systems, and workflow automation layers, ensuring partner lifecycle state is consistent and auditable across systems
  • Ensure production readiness and operational clarity: Define standards for monitoring, alerts, documentation, and runbooks for partner-critical systems. Make system behavior understandable and predictable for operational teams who rely on it day to day
  • Partner closely across functions: Collaborate with Partner Operations, Finance, RevOps, Marketing Operations, Support, and Engineering to ensure systems meet compliance, audit, and reliability expectations. Clearly communicate system behavior, constraints, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Design for change and long-term scalability: Build systems that can evolve as partner programs change, minimizing technical debt and allowing underlying tools or vendors to be replaced without disrupting partner experience or business operations
