Systems Engineer - Aircraft Recorders

Lead the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced avionics systems for aerospace platforms

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in system engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering, or prior relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Experience with embedded systems, real-time software, and hardware/software integration
• Familiarity with ARP-4754, MIL-STD, ARINC, and RTCA standards
• Experience with system validation, system integration, lab testing, and flight test support
• Experience preparing and reviewing certification documents
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project leadership skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Accountable and takes ownership of assigned tasks
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
• Ability to be successful despite ambiguity

• Experience with data recorder products including Flight Data Recorders (FDR), Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR) and Combined Voice & Data Recorders (CVDR)
• Familiar with crash survivability and data recovery standards
• Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and ED-112 standards
• Knowledge of System Safety, Functional Hazard Assessments, and Fault Tree Analysis
