System Development Engineer is a part of the systems engineering competency at our Technical Center in Kraków. The PowerDrive Systems business unit is responsible to deliver hybrid and full electric vehicle solutions to customers. The system feature owner will be responsible for the key areas of inverters, across a complete development V cycle, from concept to final test.
Job Responsibility:
Lead technical development for the system feature with cross-functional development teams, component leads and customers
Negotiate the technical requirements, scope and subcontract deliverables for the system feature
Use knowledge to drive and disseminate system level requirements and architectural proposals
Use knowledge to ensure designs meet requirements and test quality and coverage are ensured
Drive engineering competencies, suppliers, and partners to ensure commitment to internal quality processes during the development, execution and verification
Lead the technical analysis, trade off studies, FMEAs, design reviews and customer presentations for the defined features
Manage the execution of all systems engineering activities and product deliverables consistent with the SE process
Be a single point of reference for related change requests and issue investigations
Work closely with the SW, HW and Testing team to drive the implementation and verification for the defined features
Support the definition and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, methods, and tools
Document and share best-practices
Mentor less experienced engineers

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar
Experience in related engineering field applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the product life cycle in one or more of the following areas: Automotive electronics product development
Power electronics, especially motor drive inverters
Systems Engineering
In depth knowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, definition, and management
Experience with electronics systems, especially in the areas of sensors and actuators
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of embedded software and / or hardware development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language
Organized and structured work-style and attention to detail
Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
Travel 10% required, domestic and international
Nice to have:
French or German language skills
Master’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
Knowledge of or experience in multiple engineering areas (electrical, mechanical, test, software, controls)
Requirements management in e.g. Polarion or Doors
System modeling in SysML and / or MatLab Simulink
Automotive electrical system experience
Power Electronics hardware and/or software design experience
System techniques such as FMEA, FTA, etc.
ASPICE and ISO 26262 experience
