Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Systems / Backup Engineer to join our team in Johns Creek, Georgia. This contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to work in the motor freight forwarding industry, managing and enhancing critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backup solutions, cloud technologies, and system administration, ensuring smooth operations and data security.

Job Responsibility:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Windows server hardware and software to ensure reliable system performance
  • Implement and manage backup solutions, including Rubrik and Zerto, to safeguard data and support disaster recovery
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems to minimize downtime
  • Administer Active Directory, including creating group policies, managing user accounts, and enforcing domain security protocols
  • Oversee network security measures to prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive data
  • Perform regular updates and patches to systems to address vulnerabilities and improve functionality
  • Collaborate with network teams to ensure seamless operation of software and systems that align with business needs
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records
  • Manage virtual environments using technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V to support business operations
  • Provide technical support to users, addressing their IT needs and ensuring optimal productivity

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Rubrik and Zerto backup solutions, including backend configuration
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies and related services
  • Strong knowledge of Windows server environments and system administration
  • Expertise in managing Active Directory, including group policy creation and security protocols
  • Familiarity with SAN (Storage Area Networks) and storage replication processes
  • Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization or Hyper-V
  • Ability to implement and maintain disaster recovery and failover procedures
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
