We are currently recruiting a Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer to work on passenger rail projects on the east coast. This is aimed at earlier career SESA Engineers and as such, you are not expected to be an expert at both Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering or Safety Assurance. If you have only worked in one of these areas you are still encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibility:
Producing works associated with Systems Engineering and Safety assurance
Safety Assurance
Systems Engineering
Requirements Management
System Architecture development
Goal Structured Notation
Systems Integration
Develop Safety Case Reports, Assurance plans, Hazard/Safety Analyses
Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards incl. EN 50126/8/9, ISO 15288, or AS61508
Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders including operators, government, contractors
Requirements:
Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar
2+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering posts, ideally within rail infrastructure
Prior use of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS Classic or NG
Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication
Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x
Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook
