The Systems Administrator will perform complex to highly complex (senior-level) systems administration work supporting critical enterprise infrastructure. This role is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of core systems, including installing and upgrading hardware and software, troubleshooting system issues, and providing technical guidance to other team members.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain server data integrity through appropriate software and hardware solutions, including implementing and managing scheduled backup and data archiving processes
Configure automation routines using scripting and other programming languages
Evaluate existing information processing systems to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve productivity and workflow
Coordinate, plan, and schedule system installations, upgrades, and end-user or technical training for new or revised systems
Define and manage roles and access privileges for users and devices across multiple systems to prevent unauthorized access
Assist with technical analysis and documentation for simple to complex projects, migrations, and software upgrades
Perform system scans, research identified issues, recommend appropriate resolutions, and validate solutions through testing
Support system compliance efforts by aligning environments with applicable standards, frameworks, and best practices while maintaining operational continuity
Work closely with external vendors, including those supporting cloud hosting and cloud management environments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or 3+ years of experience administering supported versions of Windows Server (i.e. AD PKI, DNS, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory)
Experience supporting Windows Server 2016+ for vulnerability remediation, patch management, compliance, and system hardening
Working knowledge of PowerShell, WMI, and other scripting tools
Advanced troubleshooting, research, and analytical skills
Proven ability to gather system requirements and produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation
Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating tasks and timelines with cross-functional teams
