We are looking for a Systems Administrator to provide dependable support for enterprise server and network operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This short-term Contract to permanent position focuses on maintaining secure, stable, and high-performing infrastructure across the organization while working on-site with internal teams and external partners. The role is well suited for someone who is comfortable managing core Microsoft technologies, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Job Responsibility
Administer both physical and virtual server environments, including operating system deployment, routine patching, backup oversight, and security remediation
Maintain core identity and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, certificate services, DNS, and Group Policy
Monitor infrastructure health and take action to improve system availability, performance, and protection across network and server environments
Support enterprise storage and backup solutions by tracking capacity needs, validating recoverability, and helping optimize performance
Investigate and resolve advanced technical incidents escalated from support teams, with attention to root cause and long-term stability
Partner with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to help deliver infrastructure projects, upgrades, and implementation timelines
Travel to branch locations as needed to perform maintenance, upgrades, and hands-on support for servers, network equipment, and user devices
Contribute to security and compliance efforts by applying updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and supporting standards across multiple sites
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or a closely related technical role
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 environments
Working knowledge of backup administration, backup technologies, and system recovery practices
Understanding of DNS and other foundational network services within an enterprise environment
Familiarity with security monitoring concepts and tools, including SIEM platforms, is preferred
Ability to troubleshoot complex server, network, and end-user issues in an on-site environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
Industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, or similar credentials are preferred
experience with Epicor BisTrack is a plus
