Job Description:

Amentum is seeking engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support Naval projects at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple prime contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. The work location for this position is on-site in Dahlgren, Virginia where we have provided support to the customer for over 50 years! Position contingent on contract award which is expected in March 2026

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

Ten (10) years of hands-on technical experience with the following: system backup/recovery
basic software management
security management
network management
operating computer systems
sizing, performance, tuning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware
operation systems and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software
hardware/software/network design, troubleshooting, and resource allocation
As per Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140 or superseding documentation, this position shall require Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher under specialty area 45 – System Administrator with certification in current Operating Systems and Information Security
This position shall also require an IT-1 level designation in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
Five (5) years hands-on technical experience with the following: system backup/recovery
Two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with the following: system backup/recovery
basic software management
security management
network management
operating computer systems
sizing, performance, tuning, installation and configuration of hardware
operation systems and COTS software
hardware/software/network design, troubleshooting, and resource allocation
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site
Have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week
