We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems and networks to ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and ensuring system security and performance at all times.
Job Responsibility:
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, applications, and hardware for organizational systems
Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and availability and perform routine system checks to ensure all IT systems run efficiently
Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to issues reported by users and resolve technical problems efficiently
Upgrades & Patches: Apply software and hardware updates, patches, and fixes as needed to maintain optimal system operation and security
Security Enforcement: Implement, manage, and monitor security protocols to protect systems from breaches and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards
Backup & Recovery: Manage backup procedures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Collaboration: Work with IT and cross-functional teams to support projects, improve systems, and streamline operations
User Support: Provide Tier 2 technical support to end users for issues related to system functionality or access
Network Management: Ensure the proper functioning of network devices, including servers, switches, and routers
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.)
Experience with virtualization tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is preferred
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus
Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, MS Windows 10, Dell Technologies, Citrix Technologies
