Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing servers, supporting infrastructure, and solving complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid foundation in system administration with room to grow into more advanced responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments including patching, updates, and performance monitoring
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and permission structures
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, including VM creation, tuning, and maintenance
  • Oversee backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and storage systems
  • Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Monitor server health, performance metrics, and resource utilization
  • Troubleshoot server failures, authentication issues, and network-related system problems
  • Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, diagrams, and SOPs
  • Collaborate with network, help desk, and security teams to resolve escalated support issues
  • Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and standards

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on systems administration experience
  • Strong proficiency with Windows Server and/or Linux distributions
  • Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
  • Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms)
  • Understanding of storage systems (SAN/NAS), RAID, snapshots, and failover clustering
  • Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash) for automation
  • Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Datto, etc.)
  • Knowledge of server monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with IT teams

Nice to have

Relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VMware, Linux+) are a plus
