Job Description

The System Administrator with specialized experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy. This role is pivotal in maintaining the DFSP Intelligence Portal, a data-centric platform designed to reduce global fuel infrastructure risks through enhanced visibility and proactive mitigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sustainment, security posture, and administrative maintenance of the government-owned DFSP Intelligence Portal within the DLA J6 Research and Development (R&D) AI environment. This role ensures that the data-centric, collaborative platform—hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—remains integrated with DLA network policies, security protocols, and configuration control standards. This position plays a critical role in transforming legacy paper-based documentation into digitally native, AI-ready data to bolster global readiness for the Warfighter. Must be available during DLA core hours (0900 to 1500 Eastern Time) and maintain an adequate workforce for uninterrupted performance.

  • Performs end-user account maintenance and provide technical training to a global stakeholder community, including 500+ globally dispersed DFSPs
  • Facilitate bi-directional cross-application integration using standardized APIs and raw data feeds to ensure the system can ingest and export data from internal and external sources
  • Ensures the platform is nested and integrated with other DLA Enterprise capabilities, specifically routing documents to the Document Automation Content Service (DACS)-RM and integrating with the Enterprise Safety Applications Management System (ESAMS)
  • Maintains system auditability by validating that digitally native and paper-based forms are correctly routed to the digital file system of record to support financial and petroleum audit requirements
  • Assists in the development and deployment of collaborative tools, including site visit forms, MOA generators, and condition assessment calendars
  • Assist in establishing the foundation for Big Data and AI by integrating structured and unstructured data into searchable, analytics-ready databases
  • Implement and monitor DLA-directed configuration control policies to ensure system stability and performance

Requirements

  • Must pass a background investigation for an IT Non-Critical Sensitive level
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be eligible for a DLA Vendor Badge and Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Mandatory certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level (e.g., Security+ CE) in accordance with DoDD 8140 and DoD 8570.01-M
  • Prior experience in the bulk petroleum industry or DoD energy supply chain management is highly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration and cloud-based document management tools
  • Strong understanding of DoD/DLA security requirements, including IT non-critical sensitive level investigations and CAC procedures
  • Familiarity with data science capabilities, advanced analytics, and AI modeling within a DoD environment
