Job Description

Barbaricum is seeking a Systems Administrator/Engineer II to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical IT infrastructure. This role will support system operations, integration, and performance optimization in complex operational environments. Supports exercises in the Greater Indiana Area with 10–25% travel between Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Training Center.

Job Responsibility

  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise systems and infrastructure
  • Support system integration and configuration management activities
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Implement system updates, patches, and security controls
  • Support system documentation and configuration management
  • Collaborate with network, security, and engineering teams

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
  • Experience administering enterprise IT systems and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, and enterprise IT architecture
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving system performance issues

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting DoD or government IT systems
  • Certifications such as Security+, Network+, or similar
  • Experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments
