Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administration professional to manage and support our firm's technology infrastructure, in the Houston area. This role is essential for ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of our systems and providing top-tier support to our team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and maintain the firm's network infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, workstations, printers, and other IT equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus programs, and data loss prevention tools
  • Respond promptly to security incidents
  • Develop, implement, and regularly test data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
  • Provide timely technical support to firm personnel for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Create and deliver IT training sessions as needed
  • Support and potentially administer the firm's Salesforce instance, including user management, basic configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based services (e.g., Box) with a focus on security, accessibility, and cost-efficiency
  • Coordinate with IT vendors for hardware, software, and support services, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues are resolved promptly
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, policies, and procedures
  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance the firm's efficiency, security, and capabilities
  • Assist with planning and implementing new IT initiatives
  • Support internal and external IT audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are highly desirable
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support and systems administration, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment
  • Practical experience with the Salesforce platform, including user support, basic administration, and understanding of security protocols
  • Strong grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
