As a System Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing power electronics inverters & other BEV components on a HIL/Dyne. You will be part of a multicultural, multidisciplinary engineering team working on projects across multiple locations.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct thorough reviews of system requirements and system architecture designs (SYS2, SYS3)
Develop system test cases and specifications using appropriate test techniques, ensuring traceability (SYS4, SYS5)
Automate system tests
Execute manual and automated tests on PowerDrive HIL benches (up to 1kV) (SYS4, SYS5)
Communicate test status and system failures through formal reports, meetings, and task boards, including failure reporting and preliminary analysis
Support the setup, maintenance, and commissioning of test benches
Create technical documentation, including work instructions, diagrams, and electrical drawings
Measure and analyze electrical parameters using dedicated devices and appropriate methodologies
Represent the company as a subject matter expert in meetings with customers and stakeholders
Participate in retrospectives and continuous process improvement initiatives
Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
Mid-Level: Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Test Engineer in the automotive industry
Senior-Level: Minimum 6 years of experience as a System Test Engineer in the automotive industry
Solid understanding of system-level test techniques
Familiarity with automotive communication and diagnostic protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, UDS)
Knowledge of ASPICE and the V-Model development lifecycle
Understanding of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity)
Experience with PowerDrive system architecture and electronic components
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., CAPL, ECU-Test, vTESTstudio)
Proficiency in measuring electrical parameters using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal analyzers
Basic programming skills in one or more languages (C, C++, Python, MATLAB) and familiarity with Simulink/Simscape models
Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Fluency in English is required
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Nice to have:
ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level) is a plus
