The System Specialist is an entry level role responsible for assisting with Tandem and UNISYS administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process and analyze data.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in performing basic diagnostic work to recognize, track, report, and resolve problems, escalating when necessary
  • Assisting in planning, scheduling, implementation and post implementation
  • initiates appropriate action to stay on schedule
  • Assist with various technological installs, upgrades, and tests
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technology Infrastructure recovery plans and procedures
  • Gather, compile and synthesize information regarding technology processes or system and exchange information in a concise and clear manner
  • Use Citi's risk management and control methods to conduct periodic reviews of activities and ensure work is compliant with risk objectives
  • Researches and interprets factual information
  • Identify inconsistencies in data or results
  • Anticipate how actions/plans will affect stakeholders and cater towards stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place, and work is accomplished in the most efficient way
  • Assist in identifying reengineering improvements
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Technology Infrastructure role
  • Financial Services experiences preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Technology Infrastructure tools
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in virtual / in-person teams and work under pressure or to a deadline
  • Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
