Job Description:

System Software Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise working on the Hybrid Cloud platform and next-generation cloud platform Green Lake. The role involves developing organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design across multiple platforms.

Job Responsibility:

Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design and development across multiple platforms and organizations
Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value
Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards
Leverages recognized domain expertise to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups
Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Typically 6-10 years experience
Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages
Experience in storage product development either file, block or object storage
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture
Evaluating and selecting forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology
History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
mastery in English and local language
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels
Very strong system programming background with C/C++ for large enterprise class software
Proficiency with data structures, algorithms and multi-threaded programming
In depth knowledge of OS internals
Capable of debugging issues in multi-threaded and clustered environments

Data-path on large and complex modules
Distributed Systems, Clustering or HA
Memory management, Virtualization or De-duplication
Replication, QoS, Storage Protocols (iSCSI/SCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS)
Large Objects and Multi-part upload design/code complexities
Performance tuning and modeling
Use of Performance analysis tools e.g. Oprofile, gprof
Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, Solutions Design, Testing & Automation, User Experience (UX)
