Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Requirements Engineer to join our Airbus Defence and Space team, responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements for complex systems. The Requirements Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system requirements align with business objectives, leveraging tools like Cameo Modelling and the Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence) to facilitate clear communication, traceability, and effective requirements management in an Agile environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Requirements Elicitation: Engage with stakeholders to gather business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Requirements Analysis: Analyze and refine requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and feasibility
  • Requirements Documentation: Create detailed requirement specifications
  • Requirements Management: Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Validation and Verification: Validate requirements with stakeholders
  • Change Management: Manage changes to requirements
  • Risk Identification: Identify risks related to incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a System Engineer, Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst, or similar role in systems or software development projects, with a focus on the defense or automotive industry
  • Proven expertise in system breakdown, requirements engineering, and testing
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing projects across multiple sites
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and SAFe would be beneficial
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivated work ethic
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project demands
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards and practices
