Job Description:

System Manageability Framework Developer role at HPE focusing on designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for software enhancements and new products. The role involves developing software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop robust manageability frameworks using Python and REST APIs
  • Architect modular and extensible components for system configuration, telemetry, diagnostics, and remote management
  • Integrate with platform firmware, OS-level services, and cloud-based management consoles
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of manageability interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, and cloud services to define and implement end-to-end manageability solutions
  • Develop automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines for framework validation
  • Document APIs and framework usage for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python and REST APIs
  • Proven experience in building manageability or monitoring frameworks for hardware/software platforms (e.g. BMC Patrol, IBM Tivoli)
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and versioning
  • Experience with asynchronous programming and microservices
  • Familiarity with system-level programming, OS internals, and hardware interfaces
  • Excellent debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills
