Based at Coates’ national HQ in Mascot, this role would best suit an established DevOps or Systems Engineer who is looking to put their knowledge and experience to the test in a new environment. You’ll be responsible for IT Infrastructure within the Coates landscape as a subject matter expert for Cloud Transformation activities; from DevOps processes to automation and security technology solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Security Remediation and Proactive Initiatives
Driving Infrastructure as Code methodologies
Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
Liaising with vendor for strategic partnerships
Standardise and automate processes using scripting technology
Performing root-cause analysis and implementing preventive measures for service interruptions
Working closely with the Security, Infrastructure and Development Teams
Requirements:
Strong technical knowledge of Azure DevOps, ARM, Terraform and Bicep
Experience with programming languages and operating systems, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
Knowledge of Git or other version-control software
Previous involvement in high-level design consideration for business projects
Experience in migrating IaaS service to PaaS
Outstanding documentation writing ability to complement technical throughput
Nice to have:
ITIL certification is beneficial
