Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Senior Expert to manage and maintain our Linux system and server network. In this role, you will be responsible for installing or upgrading Linux systems and servers, managing user access to servers, and automating processes to ensure operation security and stability.

  • Implements necessary security measures and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Responsibility for solving Incident and Request which includes Linux OS system structures
  • Simplify existing platforms architecture and remove legacy platforms by creating new design and migration procedures
  • Managing partner ecosystem to deliver datacenter /application migration or management process
  • Designing, planning, executing technology refresh & consolidation tasks and supporting a mixed environment of Linux system
  • Performs troubleshooting, incident and error handling for systems
  • Implementing change management processes and user requests on systems
  • Evaluation of new versions, patches, firmwares and security patches. Implementing upgrades and security patches regularly
  • Implementing security policies on servers according to the best practices and company procedures
  • Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Executing and tracking common operations related an operating system like Program execution, I/O operations, File System manipulation, Communication, Error Detection, resource Allocation, Protection
  • Perform installation, management, maintenance, and update operations for various applications running on the Linux operating system
  • Planning training to contribute to team development and increase competencies. Expanding operational competencies and integrating them into general operational processes

Requirements:

  • University Degree with Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication or Mathematics Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years experience of Linux-Based system management
  • Experience of Linux Based systems like Redhat, Oracle Linux, Centos, Ubuntu, Debian, Suse Linux Enterprise
  • Experience of services and roles of Linux Server like Apache, NGNIX, DNS, DHCP etc
  • Experience working in a large, enterprise environment with 1000+ of servers
  • Must have excellent working experience with problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis
  • Must have excellent working experience administering Linux Server Operating System
  • Must have good knowledge of scripting languages like PHP, Python, Perl, Bash Script, Ruby etc
  • Must have good knowledge of Center Management systems like Redhat Satellite, Ansible
  • Must have good knowledge of VMWare Virtualization , Storage, SAN, Network and KVM
  • Proficient in English with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Able to translate business and technical requirements
  • Military service completed where applicable ( male candidates )
  • Team player who performs well under pressure
  • Red Hat certifications preferred
